Ocular surface changes before and after upper eye lid blepharoplasty

Background: Blepharoplasty has been the most effective treatment for upper eyelid dermatochalasis. Dry eye disease after blepharoplasty can only be detected sufficient time to allow resolution of early and intermediate sicca symptoms. Aim work: studying ocular surface changes before blepharoplasty.Patients methods: our prospective interventional cohort study conducted on 30 patients, (aged between 40 60 years) underwent lid blepharoplasty. Results: The included subjects were females aged from years with Mean ± standard deviation 51.07±4.93 years. values tear meniscus height, depth, cross-section area decreased significantly at 1 month postoperatively, then started increase 3 months postoperative returned like preoperative 6 months.Conclusion: Upper affect film stability. dry tests except staining months.
